Hey guys,
I know this might be a bit of a drag and you've probably heard it over and over, I'm just wondering what program do you use to make sprites. Is there a tut anywhere? I did have a search around. Im just looking to make my own and have a play around with it.

Cheers

Well as far as i know there's no actual program that makes sprites, you just use paint or another similar program to make them.

Paint is the easiest way to go, and its free. Other then that, you can use GraphicsGale.

Its just pixel art. The trick is using 4-5 shades of one color to make it looks good.

I use graphics gale, i find it a lot better than paint. Heres a link to it

you might also want to find a base to start with, it'll be a lot easier for you.

EDIT: Looks great, when you say a base do you mean like this Koemushi Template? http://hatsuyakanzaki-kiva.deviantart.com/art/Koemushi-EVOLVE-Template-145581527

Paint.net or GIMP.

I find them to be more universally applicable than GG or Paint.

Reason is, because they're like miniature versions of Adobe's Photoshop.

both are free.

GIMP for definite. Unfortunately, wih GG you cant alter the shade of colour, even though it does have the option. GIMP also has a high amount other tools of which may assist in improving any works you undertake on it.
